Meeting Emily Ann Roberts

This is basically going to be a blog post about how incredibly sweet Emily Ann Roberts and her husband, Chris, are. This was such a short interaction, but goodness, I could rave about their character for days.

Emily was Megan Moroney’s opener for the Stateline, NV date on Megan’s Am I Okay? Tour. Emily announced during her set that she would be holding a meet and greet after she was done.

I was hoping to meet her at the concert, so I knew I needed to get out of my seat and get in line at her table. I was the first one in line, and it was a good thing because a huge line formed waiting to get a picture and an autograph.

I was at the front of the line when Emily walked over with security, and a couple of fans walked up to her in front of me. I’m not sure if they didn’t see me or if they tried to cut the line. But Emily saw me and knew I had been there first.

Emily gave me a giant hug, and I gave her bracelets that I made for her and her husband. They said ‘Sasser House’ on them, which is their last name and the name of their joint Instagram account, where they share their life as a touring couple and homesteading.

I told Emily that the Sasser House videos have been such a light in my life with health problems, and she was so appreciative and listened with such respect.

A huge line had formed behind me, so I let another fan have their turn. I spotted Emily’s husband, Chris, and walked up to him and asked for a picture. He responded, “Of course,” and posed with me.

I told him I loved his videos, and he said, “You’re a Sasser House fan? Thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you like them!”

I walked away from that interaction with such a happy heart. Yes, they are just people like you and me, but their content is so wholesome and genuine, and in today’s world, that’s hard to come across.

I truly believe that the content they are creating is their God given purpose during this season of their life, and I pray they keep making these videos that bring such a smile to many faces.

I will link their Instagram HERE.
