The Jonas Brothers have been making a larger-than-life comeback in recent years: a Jonas Christmas movie, a brand new album, the announcement of Camp Rock 3, and now a huge stadium tour.
Jonas20: Greetings from your Hometown Tour was announced on March 23rd of 2024, and it kicked off the summer of the same year. The brothers brought a few special friends along to open their anniversary shows: Marshmello, The All-American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls.
For their most recent shows, they have added their brother, Franklin Jonas, with his band, the Byzantines, as support.
I attended the brothers’ Sacramento, CA, stop, featuring openers Franklin Jonas and the Byzantines, as well as Boys Like Girls.

Franklin Jonas and The Byzantines opened the show at 7:15pm, even though the ticket states a 7:30 PM showtime. I went into the concert knowing only one of Frankie’s songs, but also being a fan of the bonus Jonas.
I was blown away by Frankie’s talent, though it should be no surprise. It seems that being a superstar seems to run in the family. Franklin’s genuine love for being on stage, playing music, and performing for a crowd is hard not to be a fan of.
He also had such fun while performing and even walked through different sections of the venue during his set.

Setlist for Franklin Jonas and The Byzantines:
Break A Leg
Yellow (Coldplay Cover)
Road Sodas
Village Liquors
Boys Like Girls came on stage at 7:36 PM due to a bit longer of a set from Frankie, who got a standing ovation from the crowd. I listened to Boys Like Girls from a very young age, so seeing them live was insane.

Due to some setlists I saw before the show, concert attendees said that Boys Like Girls were playing four or five songs, with only one older song, which I found kind of strange.
Turns out Boys Like Girls is on stage for forty-five minutes, and the setlist is extensive and absolutely perfect! They were insanely energetic and made it their mission to get everyone on their feet and warmed up for the Jonas Brothers.

I thought they did a fantastic job at playing the fan favorites, but also stuff from their new album, SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS. Honestly, the only complaint I have is that I would have loved to hear CRY off their new album.

They didn’t introduce themselves until after they sang a few songs, even though most people knew who they were. It seemed that there were still quite a few people who didn’t know them.
They also didn’t talk to the crowd a lot, which isn’t needed. I really appreciated how many songs they crammed into 45 minutes and still put on a visually good show!

The Jonas Brothers put on such a high-energy show where they are constantly moving across the stage and going from song to song. I appreciate that they are always making sure fans get their videos, photos, and interactions.
This tour was all about the fans as it was celebrating 20 years of the Jonas Brothers. At every show on the tour, the brothers made it a tradition to ask fans what songs they would like to hear that night, provoking an impromptu performance of songs the guys may not have played in years.
The fans are handpicked from the stage (in Sacramento) by Joe. After the fans requested songs, Joe requested a song from his own to be sung by Nick.
Joe asked Nick to perform “Give Love a Try” from their Disney Channel sitcom, JONAS. The whole arena went absolutely crazy for this song and made kid me very happy.

The guys have such a soft spot in their hearts for kids, so they always make sure they interact with the little ones from the stage the best they can.
I need to say something about the stage because WOW. The New Jersey skyline, the George Washington Bridge, and the gigantic billboard, not to even mention the pyrotechnics throughout the show.

The person who had the idea is a genius! The skyline even changed to different times of the day based on the tempo of the song the guys were singing and what the stage lights looked like!
The band that the guys have on this tour (I think they are the same from last year’s tour) is incredibly talented and bring so much life to the show. The brass section, backup vocalists, their drummer, Jack Lawless, DNCE’s guitarist JinJoo, and everyone else on that stage.
They have choreographed dance moves, energy that lights up the stage, and such stage presence that it’s almost like you paid to see them!

Each show, the setlist is changed, which makes each night unique and totally different for the fans in each city. I love and hate this concept. The brothers advertised this tour as a trip through the last twenty years of the Jonas Brothers, so there would be songs from all their albums, Camp Rock, DNCE, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Nick Jonas & The Administration. However, that was not true for all the stops.
I felt like the last two tours: The Remember This Tour and The Five Albums. One Night. Tour was the exact same thing as this one. And, even though there were slight differences, I felt like I heard the exact same songs, and the show closely resembled the last two shows a lot.
I also felt like, for the Sacramento show, we got mostly new songs, and while I do love a lot of the guys’ new stuff, I really come to the shows to sing old favorites and hits from the past.

I also would have really loved Greetings From Your Hometown to be the opening song for each night, and from there, the setlist can change and be different. It’s the name of the tour and one of my favorite songs, so I was really bummed they didn’t play it!
Being able to see Big Rob during Burnin’ Up was AMAZING! Burnin’ Up was my all-time favorite song and music video when I was little. So being able to finally hear Big Rob sing his part of the song was a dream come true.
For this tour, the brothers have been bringing out special guests for almost every night. Sacramento’s special guest was Chord Overstreet, known for his acting career on Glee and his song, “Hold On”.

It was a very nostalgic and heartfelt performance, and hearing Chord sing his song with the guys was so cool!
I truly was so glad to be a part of this night, as I’ve grown up with the Jonas Brothers and their music has and continues to be such a huge part of my life.

If you’re sitting on the fence about scoring tickets to this show or sitting this one out, I highly recommend it, especially if you haven’t seen them in the past two years. If you have, I still really encourage you to buy tickets to celebrate their anniversary tour.
If given the opportunity, I would definitely go to another city to see them, and here’s to hoping Frankie does a headlining tour in the near future.

Venue: I really love this venue. It’s super clean, the employees are friendly, security is top-notch, and the venue is just beyond perfect! No, I’m not asked to write a good review or sponsored. The venue is actually that good. There can be crowd pooling outside the venue and/or right when you walk in, but security and the employees do a good job at moving everyone along, so that doesn’t happen much. The merch line was wild, but employees got it organized right away, and it moved really quickly.
Seats: I purchased tickets for section 107, Row FF, seat 16. This is a lower bowl area, and holy cow, this view was incredible! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better view, and it was reasonably priced too! I wasn’t the only one shocked by the view, either - almost everyone in my entire row was completely in awe when they saw the view. Unsure of your view? Go to aviewfrommyseat.com!
Parking: There is no stadium parking for this venue, so you have to park at parking garages, valet parking, or parking lots for the show around the city. I was able to find parking for $25 half an hour before I got there, and it was a short walk. You can pre-purchase parking through the venue’s website. Keep in mind you may be walking further and paying more or vice versa, depending on your budget.
Merch: I loved the merch for this tour! There was so much to choose from, and it the designs were great! I don’t know who is in charge of design other than the boys, but I bought three merch items, which I don’t normally do at shows. I couldn’t pick just one thing I liked. The merch was all really reasonable, too, and I definitely recommend it!
Overall: This is my third time seeing the boys, and I love going to their shows. It’s an energetic and fun show, and while it should be fun for the whole family, this show seemed more raunchy than past concerts I have been to due to the signs fans were bringing. attendees dressing like they were going to a strip club, and just the all-around vibe. I’m not sure if it was all the shows on this tour or just this one in particular. There were tons of little ones at the show, and I just had to cringe at some of the nastiness I saw. A concert is not a place for that, end of story! It was an amazing show, though, and I really enjoyed myself. Rating 7/10!
