Kelsea Ballerini's, "Kelsea Ballerini LIVE on Tour"

Kelsea Ballerini’s seventh album, “PATTERNS” released October 2024 with a tour announcement happening a few months later. Kelsea would be making 36 stops on her much-anticipated tour featuring special guests Sasha Alex Sloan, Ashe, The Japanese House, and MaRynn Taylor.

Former tour mate, Maisie Peters pulled out just shy of a month before Kelsea’s first show due to mental health reasons. This gave Kelsea the opportunity to invite some other friends to open for her.

I attended Kelsea’s Sacramento, CA tour stop at the Golden 1 Center Arena. The supporting acts for this tour were MaRynn Taylor and The Japanese House.

MaRynn is a rising country music artist, signed to Black River Entertainment. She has a bluegrass voice with pop elements. Her setlist consisted of;

  • Make You Mine

  • Small Town Spinnin’

  • We Could Be In Love Right Now/BIRDS OF A FEATHER (Billie Eilish cover)

  • Season 2 of Friends

  • Get To Know Me

  • Since U Been Gone (Kelly Clarkson cover)

  • same girl same

I was able to meet MaRynn after her set and she’s such a sweetheart and her team is the kindest!

The Japanese House came out next, I was unable to set her set though. I could definitely hear it which always annoys me when the sound engineers put the audio up so high that you can’t even understand what the artist is saying.

Kelsea came out about thirty minuets after The Japanese House at 9PM. This was Kelsea’s Eras Tour - meaning the tour spanned her entire discography.

Kelsea’s Setlist:

  • Patterns

  • Baggage

  • Love Me Like You Mean It

  • This Time Last Year

  • Future Tripping

  • IF YOU GO DOWN (I’M GOIN’ DOWN TOO)

  • hole in the bottle

  • First Rodeo

  • Blindsided (Yeah, Sure, Okay)

  • Miss Me More

  • We Broke Up

  • Mountain With a View

  • Interlude (full length)

  • Cut Me Up

  • MUSCLE MEMORY

  • How Do I Do This

  • Penthouse

The opening with “Patterns” was pretty mellow, I would have loved to have seen a bigger bang to open the show with. In my opinion I would have love to seen Kelsea open with Baggage and then Patterns. It was just a really slow start to the show.

I also would have loved to seen more love for Kelsea’s second album, “Unapologetically”. I feel like no songs from that album ever get played and it’s my favorite album.

Hits like “Legends” “I Hate Love Songs” and “Get Over Yourself” would have shined on this tour and are similar in theme to the other songs on tour.

I missed screaming along to “Yeah Boy” and “Dibs”. I would have much rather one of those than Peter Pan. I know it’s fan favorite but “Yeah Boy” and “Dibs” are other songs that made her career. There were lots of other slower tempo songs on the setlist and Peter Pan should have been cut.

My Pros do really out weigh my Cons and I loved to be apart of this tour. Kelsea really outdoes herself every time with visuals and I obsess over that kind of thing at tours.

Whether it was videos or lyrics on the screen, fireworks and pyro, or stunning affects. This tour really had it all! My favorite was during “First Rodeo” when Kelsea sang in the middle of a moving “carousel”.

Towards the end of the song, Kelsea came out and sang the rest of the song center stage. The carousel was stunning and the ocean video playing on the screen was icing on the cake. Seeing this song come to life was amazing and it has become a top song on the album for me after seeing this.

I love Kelsea’s stage presence, her personality comes out in full when she’s with her fans. She made sure not to just go from one song straight to the next song, but talked to the audience too.

Kelsea’s shows just get better with time and this tour was one for the books. I would have purchased tickets to see the tour 12x as Kelsea was always changing things in and out of the setlist and showing off new outfits on various show dates. I wish she would have added a Taylor Swift Era’s Tour element with adding a surprise song moment in the show. There’s always next tour!

Venue: Golden 1 Center was gorgeous! It reminded me a lot of Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was extremely clean and the employees were super friendly and helpful.

Seats: I purchased tickets for section 113, Row M, Seat 7-8. These were amazing seats! I could see everything perfectly and there were no obstructions. I would definitely get these seats again, or any in this section.

Parking: You can pre-purchase parking through the venue’s website which is recommended as the parking garage we parked in was FULL. The parking was one minuet away from the venue and the pre-payment was $25. There are other places to park but you may be walking further and paying more or vice versa depending on your budget.

Merch: I was unimpressed with Kelsea’s merch this year. She had a good amount of things to choose from but white shirts and sweatshirts is not the way to go. The hats were super cute as was the lithograph! I just wasn’t impressed with the designs very much. I ended up purchasing a cream colored patterns long sleeve shirt and the purple patterns hoodie.

Overall: I’ve been fan of Kelsea’s since the release of her first album, “the first time”, and she’s been a comfort artist for me since then. I love attending her shows and will keep doing so. Kelsea really puts on a fun and energetic show perfect for hanging out with your friends or even going with your family. The energy in the room was so fun and transmittable. If you have the opportunity to see Kelsea live, GO!
